Tonga and Kuwait formalize diplomatic ties

Tonga formalized diplomatic ties with the State of Kuwait at an official ceremony at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations office in New York, USA, on 2 September.

The agreement was signed by Tonga’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Tonga to the United Nations, HE Mr Viliami Va’inga Tone and the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations, HE Mr Mansour Ayyad Al-Otaibi.

A statement from the Tongan misson said that both countries aimed to promote friendship and cooperation in different fields at national and international levels.
