Dawanqu Yihao, China’s first gas-electric hybrid catamaran passenger ship, is delivered in Shenzhen on Aug 14.
The catamaran measures 71.88 meters long and 18.72 meters wide, carrying 350 passengers and operating at a speed of 14 knots.
The ship is the first of its kind in China with a hybrid DC grid electric propulsion system. Its chip and hybrid power system are wholly developed by Chinese companies.
